You found coverage. Now find what it doesn’t cover.
Colorado FAIR Plan coverage can solve an availability problem without recreating a standard homeowners policy. The next decision is not simply “Am I insured?” It is “What protection do I actually have—and what gaps remain?”
Check My Coverage Gaps →A policy can solve access and still leave exposure.
The FAIR Plan is designed as a last-resort market mechanism. That makes it valuable—but also makes side-by-side coverage analysis essential. HAVRYO should translate the differences into homeowner decisions instead of treating policy issuance as the end of the journey.
Actual Cash Value
ACV can reflect depreciation. That can create a meaningful gap between a covered loss payment and the cost of replacing damaged property.
Covered causes of loss
Confirm what the selected FAIR Plan policy covers. Never assume every protection normally associated with a standard homeowners package is included.
Maximum available protection
Current official materials state a $750,000 combined maximum for residential property and contents. Compare that ceiling with the home's actual exposure.
Difference in Conditions
Official FAIR Plan consumer materials note that supplemental Difference in Conditions coverage may be available in the market. Availability and terms must be checked with licensed professionals.
Compare protection, not just premiums.
A cheaper or available policy is not automatically economically equivalent to another policy. Settlement basis, perils, deductibles, limits and supplemental protection can change the homeowner's retained risk.
HAVRYO's job is to make those differences visible without acting as an insurer, broker or coverage adviser.
ACV can create replacement-cost exposure
If replacement costs more than the claim's ACV settlement, the homeowner may face a larger funding gap. Actual claim treatment depends on policy terms.
$750,000 is a ceiling, not a home valuation
The current residential maximum should not be interpreted as evidence that a specific home is fully insured.
DIC is a question, not an automatic solution
Difference in Conditions products can vary by carrier, property and market. HAVRYO should route the homeowner to licensed insurance help rather than promise availability.

Getting insured is step one. Understanding the gap is step two.
This module can turn policy characteristics into a structured checklist and then route insurance questions to a licensed professional when needed.
Check My Coverage Gaps →Record the actual limits shown on the policy.
Identify ACV and any relevant valuation provisions.
Map what the selected form includes rather than assuming.
Capture the homeowner share and major limitations shown in the policy.
For product selection or supplemental coverage, move to a licensed agent or broker.
“I have insurance” is not the final question. “What happens if I have a loss?” is.
Understand valuation, limits and covered perils before treating last-resort coverage as equivalent to a standard homeowners policy.
