Your insurer says the roof is a problem. Replace only what solves it.
Before signing a roofing contract, identify the exact insurance trigger: age, condition, damage, material, inspection result, valuation change or a specific underwriting requirement. The right roof decision starts with the actual insurance problem.
Build My Roof Action Plan →Don’t turn an underwriting question into a $20,000 guess.
Roof replacement can be expensive and commercially valuable, which is exactly why HAVRYO must diagnose first. We should route a homeowner to a contractor only after clarifying the insurer's problem and the evidence needed to resolve it.
Find the insurance trigger
Age alone is not a universal Colorado replacement rule. Use the insurer's notice, inspection or underwriting communication.
Repair or replacement?
Determine whether the documented issue calls for repair, full replacement, further inspection or simply better evidence.
Choose the right roof path
Where resilience standards, permits or grant requirements apply, make them part of the contractor scope before work begins.
Document completion
Keep contracts, permits, inspection records, invoices, photos and certifications needed to show what was actually installed.
A replacement can solve today’s problem and prepare for tomorrow’s.
Colorado's Strengthen Colorado Homes Enterprise was enacted in 2026 to support resilient-roof retrofits. The law directs at least 85% of applicable fee revenue to homeowner grants and establishes standards, training and contractor-related requirements.
That does not mean every roof replacement qualifies or that grant money is currently available. HAVRYO must separate enacted program structure from live application availability.
Resilient-roof grant framework
Eligible grant work is tied to resilient materials/standards, permits, code compliance, inspections and licensed contractors.
Roof resilience enters insurer reporting
No sooner than January 1, 2027 and after rules are adopted, covered insurers' annual filings must report resilient-roof discounts and wind/hail experience.
Do not promise an insurance discount
A resilient roof may affect future insurer treatment, but HAVRYO should verify carrier-specific rules rather than promise savings.
Colorado General Assembly
SB26-155 enacted summary and session law. Program implementation and live grant availability should be rechecked before homeowner action.
This is where decision support becomes a qualified roofing lead.
The homeowner arrives with an insurance problem. HAVRYO translates it into a defined contractor need—location, roof issue, insurer requirement, deadline and desired evidence.
