Colorado created a resilient-roof grant program. Check the status before you build around it.
Strengthen Colorado Homes is designed to help eligible homeowners install qualifying resilient roofs. But an enacted program is not the same thing as an open grant application. HAVRYO separates the law, implementation, eligibility and current funding status.
Check My Roof Path →Don’t replace a roof because a grant exists.
The insurance or property problem comes first. If replacement is already justified, then grant eligibility and resilient-roof standards can become part of the project decision.
Does the roof need work?
Age, condition, storm damage or an insurance requirement should establish the underlying need before funding drives the decision.
Is assistance available?
Check current launch status, application window, funding and property eligibility before treating the grant as project financing.
What roof qualifies?
Match materials and installation to the program's current resilient-roof requirements and required documentation.
Get qualified quotes
Once need and program requirements are clear, compare local professionals capable of delivering the qualifying scope.
The law creates the framework. Implementation creates the opportunity.
Signed in 2026, SB26-155 created the Strengthen Colorado Homes Enterprise to support resilient-roof adoption. The statute directs at least 85% of enterprise fee revenue toward grants to eligible homeowners for qualifying resilient roofs.
HAVRYO's job is to keep the next layer current: rules, launch date, application availability, eligible roof standards and funding status.
Homeowner grants are central to the enterprise
The enacted framework dedicates the large majority of enterprise fee revenue to grants supporting qualifying resilient-roof installations for eligible homeowners.
ENACTEDDo not confuse authorization with an open application
Administrative rules, revenue collection, program design and application operations can occur on a different timeline from enactment.
CURRENT STATUS MUST BE VERIFIEDNo universal premium-savings promise
A resilient roof may improve physical resilience and can matter to insurance, but carrier treatment varies. HAVRYO does not use an assumed discount to manufacture a payback claim.
CARRIER-SPECIFICGrant → qualifying roof → qualified professional.
This is where the data product and the commercial engine meet cleanly. HAVRYO identifies the need and funding path first. Only then does it route the homeowner toward a roof professional who can quote the defined project.
Open HAVRYO Action Plan →Insurance requirement, age, condition, hail damage or planned replacement.
Match current program rules to the homeowner and property.
Open, upcoming, waitlist, closed or implementation pending.
Use the program's current standard and documentation requirements.
With explicit consent, route a defined project to appropriate qualified contractors.
Know whether the grant fits before the contract is signed.
Check the roof need, current program status and qualifying requirements before committing to the project.
